Spa, Apprentice Esthetician

Hi, I’m Lexi, currently studying esthetics at the Delaware Learning Institute with an expected graduation in May 2024. Although I’m new to skincare, I’m a familiar face at The Upper Cut, having started as an assistant. I take pride in assisting clients with their skincare needs and am available for appointments on Fridays and alternate Saturdays. Looking forward to bringing my passion for skincare to The Upper Cut!

I love creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience and am passionate about educating clients on how a proper skincare regime is connected to your overall good health.

Here are a few tips we suggest following to ensure you get optimum, long-lasting results from your treatment.

  1. Come ready to discuss your skin concerns and what your goals are. I want to help you refine a care regimen which works for your skin and lifestyle.
  2. It’s helpful to bring a list of your at-home skin care products so I can recommend products you may want to add or delete from your at-home routine.
  3. Please bring a list of your medications (even over-the-counter), medical conditions, and/or past skin conditions you may have had. These can affect your skin, and helps us know what may be contributing to your concerns and the way your skin reacts to certain products.
  4. Wear clothing that is comfortable; easy to change in and out of.
  5. Whether you wear makeup or not, your esthetician will cleanse your skin as part of any of our facial treatments.
  6. Avoid at-home treatments (one-week for facials, three days for exfoliations) prior to your appointment.
  7. Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning for five days before your facial.
  8. Getting ready for a big event? If you’re unsure how your skin will respond, for best results we recommend scheduling an appointment about six weeks in advance with a follow-up closer to your event. Don’t have that much time?  That’s okay. We can recommend a service that will help you put your best face forward.
